Rocky Mountain Rescue will be sharing lessons learned from the last 15 years of climbing accidents and rescues in Boulder on the 28th March (8pm at Neptunes)

This will be an interactive discussion covering three areas:

1) Causes of climbing accidents and the lessons learned;
2) The common injuries, and medical training climbers can get to better prepare themselves if an accident occurs;
3) What climbers can do to assist/speed up organized rescue if an accident occurs.

Join us for what should be an enlightening discussion.

Any chance you guys could stream/record this talk for those of us who can't attend in person? I'd love to hear what you folks have to say, but the 15 hour drive is a bit of an obstacle.

I'd love to see it as well, but I will be out of town.

Perhaps someone could video the presentation. Then, sell/give away copies for a suggested donation to RMRG.

Good idea. We will see what we can do about recording the presentation.
We should have enough time to arrange that.

Good news. We will have this recorded and available to view at some point soon after the event. We will let you know where to find it.

hi Dan, is it first come first serve to claim a seat at the talk?

I believe that is the case. Neptunes said they have about 200 chairs and that there may be a bit of floor space for standing room if more than that attend.

Thanks to the generosity of one of RMRs members, we have been able to produce a video of the presentation at Neptunes two weeks ago.

It is over an hour long, so we apologize for the length, however we are happy that this is now available to a wider audience.
