Echo Canyon Seasonal Closure: Jan. 1 - second Saturday in April MORE INFO >>>

Description

This climb progressively gets a little harder with time. This climb starts below the rail and trends slightly left via powerful, long moves to reach the rail. More long moves to a big dead-point (or dyno depending on your height) to an excellent pocket. Finish by powering up through smaller holds to gain the roof.

The first ascentionist is given as Walter Anyan (WA), but this
was one of the routes I bolted and did, but it did take forever.

Start on bolt line to the right of the start of Hybrid and Mad Choss Disease. Links into Hybrid at the rail, finishes on Hybrid. Originally rated 13a, I agree with that.

I don't remember Martin grading this 13a back in the day. We spent a lot of time there that summer ... and it is a different route now compared to then.
I think upgrading it to 13a now is fair b/c two larger holds and a few less important ones have broken off.
