Description

This south facing, 800-1200 foot tall, granite buttress that guards the entrance to New Fork Park is home to handful of reported/recorded lines. Quality granite, beautiful scenery and generally easy approach and deproach add to is appeal. The licheny rock is a bit of a detraction however.

Getting There

From the trail head at New Fork Lake hike roughly five or six miles, first along New Fork Lake and then along New Fork River, until reaching the first crossing of New Fork River. Look up and to the north. The China Wall is directly above. The steep buttress with corners and splitter cracks to the NW is the Knucklebuster (12a) buttress.

Climbing Season

For the Wind River Range area.
