Just got some cams back from Black Diamond's factory re-slinging service and apparently they hybridized my #4. I wonder if it fits in larger cracks now?

Comparison of #4, #4 with purple sling, and #5

That cam won't fit in larger cracks until you clip it to a purple biner.

I know a guy who sent in his blue #3 and it came back with a red sling... whats wrong with these people

Out of curiosity, what was the turnaround time on the cams? I've been waiting on mine for over a month now...

So cams made in China seem to be okay.

But, reslung by climber in SLC not so good. And weed isn't even legal there yet.

I actually called them and they were nice about the mistake - offered free shipping back to the factory to get the right webbing. However, the guy said turnaround is currently about a month so I decided to hang onto it for now. Compared with the service I received from Metolius (they clean and inspect the cams as well, BD does not), its disappointing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
