A small crag with lots of boulders below just left of the Chatfield State Park gate. Usually lots of trash, bring a trash bag to help keep this area clean. The more climbers that visit here the better the chances that it stays protected. This area gets direct afternoon sun and its usually protected from the elements and wind because its incredibly steep. The potential is here for a quality, roadside, bouldering area.

This climb is located in the heart of the formation in a deep cave. It is usually almost always dry, it stays snow free and out of the wind. The climb gets sun in the winter starting at about 2:30 pm. The weathermen starts standing with a right hand pinch and a left hand crimp, pull on and make power moves on open handed holds to a tough crimp move. Bring a least three pads as the landing is rocky. The three lowers starts will be double digit classics into this amazing climb.[more]   Browse More Classics in Connecticut
