Description

The Crux move is getting over the Roof at the start and getting on to the Face for a good mix of 5.8 to 5.9 climbing. This is a good pumpy steep route with an abundance of good underclings and sidepulls but care must be taken as the rock is a little weak and pulling off a hold would certainly be a possibility but worth the fun factor. Belayer should be sure to wear a helmet.

Location

This Route is Located on the face just right of "The Split" Look for the Crack on the Cattle Pocket main Wall. The Start is right above the ground floor roof.

Protection

Lead climb "The Split 5.9" in the chimney just to the left of this climb and use the anchor on top of it to Top Rope this route giving you two routes to choose from.

Just for pulling the roof on big holds? Nah, didn't think the route was worthy of 5.9. The rest of the route was 5.7/5.8 climbing on crumbly rock. Ticked.
