Rugged mountain drainage located south of Mt. Borah. The climbing is on polished limestone. Climbs are mostly int the 5.11 to 5.12 range

Getting There

Traveling from Challis, go south on hwy 93 until the "old chilly road" sign, turn east and go through gate and follow road until it ends at aprx 2.5 miles. Park and follow a faint trail with some cairns on the south side of the drainage, staying above the creek.

The intro copy for this area reads as if it were lifted directly from my book "Idaho Underground", except for editing that changed "glacial polished limestone" to "polished limestone". I would not describe the rock here as polished - in the way most folks think of polished limestone.

This is a great little area with mostly excellent rock in a unique mountain setting.
