Long move on Cedar Arete

Description

SDS as low as possible on sidepulls and compress upwards and slightly left to follow the arete. Make sustained compression moves that end with a big throw to a large jug a few feet below the top. Match on the jug and drop off, or if you prefer top out and enjoy the view. Either way treat the small cedar tree growing out of the jug with care. The wingspan of a condor will help greatly on this problem.

Also beware of the jumbled shale piled at the base of this problem. Some nasty, uneven edges which require careful padding.

Location

Starting holds are found at the base of the obvious arete on the Cedar Arete Boulder, which is found just behind the Crab.

Protection

A couple pads to protect the sharp, uneven landing. Watch out for butt (tailbone) dabs on the first few moves.
