Catskills Mixed/Dry-Tool

Since winter refuses to show up, was wondering if anyone has done any decent mixed/dry-tool climbing up in the Catskills. I hear there might be a teeny tiny bit of ice and some partially frozen turf up there, somewhere. Any crags or areas you can recommend, I appreciate it. Might as well make the most of it. Michael C

There's dozens of mixed routes in the current Catskills ice guidebook. I don't know how many require "some ice" to be climbable however. The routes off to the sides of Buttermilk Ravine have always looked bone dry to me; that might be a place to look. Gunkiemike

Exactly. The whole "some ice" thing.

Ever been to Tombstone - with, or without ice?
