Description Suggest change

A nice, low profile area behind a large pine (fir) tree.

Scramble up the left side of the cutout slot. Surprisingly good protection with gear and some positive holds takes the sting out of the poor, thin ice.

Can be wet, no ice, to crappy thin ice. Probably never in what could be called "fat" conditions.

Location Suggest change

Route is left of King Cone and left of the sport route "Armadillo Waffles" on the Road Kill Wall.

Just behind the outhouse at the main parking area on the main road across from the Left Hand Fork.

Walk up narrow canyon, passing the Schoolroom on the left, and, look for the slot in the Road Kill Wall.

Protection Suggest change

Rock rack, quick draws and short to medium length ice screws.

A bolted rock anchor on the left at the 30 foot level provides some fixed protection.

Fixed rappel anchor at the top where the angle eases off on the climber's left side.
