BETA PHOTO: Cast Iron

Description

Pretty much every size crack and a few face holds define this one. The bulge at 1/3 high is the mental crux but easier than it looks if you find the face holds. The crack widens as you get closer to the rim eventually going from fist to off-width. The climbing is entertaining and the rock is pretty clean.

This route was removed from MP and recovered via the Wayback Machine

Location

Doubles from 00-4 BD and one #5. Nuts and runners. The 5 can be left on top if your comfortable running it out. The climbing backs off a bit on the upper wide part.

Protection

The next crack system to climbers right of Pig Iron.

Thank you for setting my mind at ease. I was thinking there used to be more routes on this page but assumed I was just losing my mind. Smart thinking using the wayback machine to recover them!

This route is quite good. A tad dirty, but really fun. I think I would start it at the pig iron belay and traverse right to gain this system. The bottom 20-30 ft of the route might not be worth climbing as it is dirty and loose. The rest of the pitch is rad!
