Description

I've never climbed this one; including it for completeness sake. The last of the routes starting on the large ledge. Right side.

Location

Starts on large ledge 30 feet right of Easy Crack. Right side of ledge, about 5 feet from arete. Climb discontinuous vertical seams to left of small roof, to the top.

Protection

Unknown. Very difficult gear anchor/long static line.

We set these up as TR for kids.

To set up a TR, you need a long static rope to reach back to the big dead stump. Along the cracks on top are two or three spots where you can fit an alien and I think a nut or two. Use long webbing and the static to create your TR anchor- it's not easy nor pretty.

Carrot Face is harder than 5.3. Pebble fingers may be harder than 5.7. Quick 8 might be 5.8. They're ok, unmemorable really; the only reason we set them up is they are short and because it takes so much static rope and webbing to set up, there usually aren't people on them.

To start these climbs, you have to scramble up onto a ledge. Then step over a crevice to reach the wall. It may be difficult for smaller kids to reach the start, they might have to swing across and get a boost.
