Calling out fellow airline employee/climbers

Just recently moved to Utah for work. I work a regular 9 to 5 job with SkyWest Airlines here in Salt Lake City. I miss the student schedule where I could climb weekdays and take long weekends for trips almost anytime. Those were good times. But I guess it is a trade off, because I now have the privilege of being able to fly for free (with some restrictions) to almost anywhere. So far I've been able fly out for a few weekend trips but I'm looking at doing weekend trips to Yosemite, Red Rock, Joshua Tree, Devil's Tower, etc.

So far I have not met another climber in the company, so I'm reaching out to any fellow airline employees who would be stoked to fly out on weekends for some sweet trips almost anywhere in the country. Ideally I'd like to meet someone else here in Salt Lake City, but I'd be down to meet up with anyone. Obviously depending on which airline you work for, we might have different destinations available, but most of the major cities should be available for us both.

How sick would it be to climb in Yosemite one weekend, Red Rock the next, The Flatirons the next, Indian Creek the next, and when winter rolls around, we can fly to Durango for some sweet ice? All during regular workweeks without having to take time off (though of course a Friday or Monday off would be best)

So if this is you, get in touch with me and we can make something work!
Or if you live near a great climbing area and you'd be willing to host a traveling climber, I'm always looking to explore new climbing areas

Miguel,
I'm with Southwest. I'd love to climb with fellow airline folks. Small issue is I'm all the way in New Jersey. HOWEVER, we are selling the house and hitting the road in an RV. we will be on the west coast all summer long then Utah Colorado and Nevada in the fall. Let's go! May not be able to do anything immediate as we are busy wrapping up loose ends before we leave in June, unless maybe you wanted to come out here on the east coast.

Hey Mark,
Nice! I had the opportunity to do an internship with SWA, and I loved the company as an airline and as an employer. Not Dallas though, zero climbing there.

You, know.... I've never been climbing anywhere in the East Coast. I'd like to pay a visit to the Gunks or the Red. What do you do with SWA? When are you starting your drive out?

During the winter, you can save yourself some clusterfuck by checking out the ice around Silverton rather than going all the way up to Ouray. Shorter drive, and closer proximity to awesome food and beer, less people and a LOT less gumbies. That is, unless you like sharing the crag with the crowds

Oh and some of the best BC skiing in the san jauns if you're into that.

If you find that you really like the atmosphere of durango, there's also a lot rock to be found with a full spectrum in length, rock quality, style and technical difficulty. Theres a plethora of good mountaineering in the Needles and Grenadiers plus the largest chunk of granite in colorado, The Pope's Nose. Also tons of long chossaneering to be had on the massive chosspiles north of Hermosa, if you're into that.

I don't work for an airline (though coincidentally I have been considering becoming a flight attendant after college and have wanted to ever since I first got on a plane in 2013), BUUUUT I noticed you mentioned Joshua Tree which is my home turf for the time being. I'd love to meet up if you came out here, might be able to pick you up from the airport or something and hit the park.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
