This formation is North of El Toro and closer to the various places to stay. It's blank face where routes were put in is obvious from the main road. This is an ideal spot to take beginners or to just get away from crowds at Mota Wall and other popular destinations with moderate lines.

Getting There

Vere towards Buzz Rock on the faint miner's road that leads to open pits scattered about the area. Make a bee line through cactus and brush to get to the base of the wall. No real path exists and you may find yourself taking a different way back from the way you came.

Climbing Season

As with most routes on Buzz Rock, there are tons of solution pockets, deep huecos, and jugs. Pitch one comes in at easy 5.9 with plenty of rests. Pitch 2 is more of the same at 5.8. The last pitch offers a little something different at 5.10a and you gain a rocky ledge near the top. Rappel with a single 60 meter rope....[more]   Browse More Classics in International

Ok, the hike to Buzz is a pain. Make sure you stay on the trail or you will end up in cactus hell.

The climbs at buzz are fun, mostly single pitch moderates. It's far away from the "crowds" so you will likely be all by yourself, which can be really nice.

The climbs are easy/happy/fun. Not worth the hike unless you are looking to get away from it all and sharpen your leading skills on easy climbs.
