Description

Burning Spear is an under vertical to vertical area of generally slate grey featured limestone. So far this little selection of climbs hasn't gotten much attention but there is room for additional development.

Getting There

The first "steep" section of the Fins road (just before the lower parking for Discovery Wall) bends right around a wide corner. Just before this section of road is a pull out on the left under a power pole. This should be easy to spot as there are "Danger" signs running up the hill toward the crag on the left. Following the gully and "Danger" signs will lead you to the base of "X-Crack" a stand-alone route on the first rock you come to on the right side of the gully. The most straightforward way to the rest of the climbs is to continue up this gully until it meets the main large cliff band. Head left, up and over a hill top and down into the next main ravine filled with large burned tree snags.
