RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. MORE INFO >>>

Description

This crag is located northwest of the trailhead that leaves the parking lot, and can actually be seen from there. This crag is just up the small canyon from the Sonic Youth Wall, and faces west (the opposite direction of Sonic Youth).
Most of the routes here are trad or mixed, however, there are three sport routes located on the left side of the wall.

Getting There

Follow the trail towards Turtle Head peak. When you can see the first obvious canyon to your left, head up there and the cliff will be sitting high on the right hand side.
There are several trad and mixed lines that start on the lower right hand side. There are also three sport routes which you must scramble to on the high left hand side.

Climbing Season

For the Sandstone Quarry area.

Featured Route For Broast and Toast Wall

Girls Skool 5.12 7b+ 27 VIII+ 26 E6 6b  Nevada : Red Rock : ... : Broast and Toast Wall
Girls Skool climbs a stretch of crunch, low-density rock between CHUD and Desert Sportsman. If the rock was better, this route would be quite good, but as it is very few holds are solid. The grade may feel sandbagged (perhaps holds have broken since the FA).Begin on the huge, hollow flakes of CHUD then step right with difficulty to the line....[more]   Browse More Classics in Nevada
