This giant 250+ meter wall is located above the substation for the brilliant dam and is very visible from the highway. The wall is south facing and is very hot in the summer months (start early). There is one route on the wall, David Lussier's monster 8 pitch sport route known as megawatts, which is at a moderate 5.8.

Getting There

Follow signs toward the castlegar golf course, once on aron road, follow it for 600m until you see a dirt road off to your right, look for the skattebo reach trail access sign. Follow this road to the substation, park at the far end of the substation out of the way of the workers. Walk back along the fence until you see a dirt road on your left going up to the powerlines service road, turn left at the junction. Walk several hundred meters to a turn around and look for flagging tape on the uphill side marking a faint trail. Follow the trail to the talus field and scramble up to the base of the cliff.
