Hey! My family and I will be in Estes Park at the end of the month and are looking for good bouldering spots. We want a little bit of everything as my husband and I climb at different levels. Thanks for any help!

The Sanctuary is not far from Estes Park and has a good selection of problems.

Big Elk Meadows, Lions Den

Just a warning. Big elk has been practically washed away by the flood. The nice little stream you used to hike next to is now a raging river. No trail remains. Would take a while to get to the sanctuary if its not underwater.A month ago Lions den was gated off due to the flood as well.

Man that's a bummer. Not surprising I guess since after the fire big elk was nothing but rock, dirt and char.

the park. Endovalley, Moraine Park, Emerald Lake, Chaos Canyon, Upper Chaos, and various road side endeavors await. Not great for beginning climbers although easy and moderate problems exist but the large majority is in the difficult range.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
