The landing zone for this rock is on very slanted ground so a spotter is recommended. Rock is mostly in the shade and never crowded.

The main climb here is Face Opposite Pyramid

Getting There

The rock lies directly across the path of the Pyramid rock. Following the path from Boulder 1 past the Lions Head it is left of the Pyramid rock.

Climbing Season

Start with the undercut. Go slightly right at first then rock up left over the undercut and up the face towards the left arête. Crux is rocking onto the face. The top out is easy but definitely keep your head and tread lightly. A fall from the top would be unpleasant. My two stars is for the movement and exposure. The quality of the rock is not great. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in California

About 15 yards uphill there is a threesome of boulders with what looks to be a pretty cherry prow in the middle. Unfortunately there is a lot of vegetation underneath... If anyone chopped it out I wouldn't say anything. JK... Sort of.
