BETA PHOTO: Bouldering is south of the Bur Oak Trail. Take the...

There is great bouldering just south of the trail. This area is off the beaten path and located in the shade, therefore it makes the perfect summer retreat. There are a few boulders. The highest quality of which is slightly overhanging with unique crimps and jugs!

Getting There

This area is located along the Bur Oak Trail. From the visitor center hike roughly a half mile along the Bur Oak Trail until reaching the area 3 sign. From the climbers parking lot head toward the quarry. After fifty feet veer left and follow the bluff line. Hike roughly a half mile to the area 3 sign. At area 3 there is an enormous boulder on the south side of the trail. On the east side of this boulder follow a foot trail 70 yards into the woods.

From there move your left hand to the undercling and top out. Crux is the start. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in Minnesota
