  • Description

Lying just off the Mesa Trail, this boulder has a great landing for a large part of it, and sports some juggy and steep problems. That's all I know about it.

    Getting There

Take Broadway and turn West on Table Mesa. Drive all the way to the end of this road to the NCAR parking lot. Now take the "NCAR Trail" along the nature walk along the rim of the hill. Look for a trail that cuts leftand down the hill to some switchbacks. Follow this trail all the way to the water tower and continue left of the towerdown to the Mesa Trail. Here, you will come to a junction with a Boulder Mountain Parks info/map board. Take the Mesa Trail to the South until you hit Bear Canyon. Follow the trail south up about 300 yards, and the trail curves around to the right. Within this curve is the boulder.

Although I didn't get a chance to finish these problems (too tired and no balls that day) I wanted to add the beta. A nice warmup is the juggy V2 starting off the block on the ground then pulling huge huecos for a topout over the lip.For a tough traverse with fun moves, try the V6 SDS starting on the right side low. Move across on decent pockets and underclings then make some sort of crazy move (no clue on the beta here--big dyno maybe?) to join the V2 finish. So, I guess hikers can hear us as well as we can hear them...wish we would've remembered that when we were talking about anal sex.
