Blue Trail North Rock Climbing
A small area with a few high quality boulder problems on some gneiss rock. This are gets good sun and has mostly good landings. It's right off a main trial, but there are less walkers than one might think.
The cliff band parallels the trail for a few hundred feet, then forms a right angle leading you away from the trail. Problems are located both along the trail and around the corner.
Park in the climbers lot just West of the main parking lot for Chatfield Hollow. You'll walk along the wide blue trail for maybe three minutes before getting to a medium sized boulder right next to the trail (on your left) and a band gneiss behind it.

For full value do the rock-fall cave exit!Definitely one of the best problems in Killingworth. The rock quality is perfect and the climb is fun and exciting! A problem worth returning to many times.props to shylo for having the vision and cleaning this beauty. ...[more] Browse More Classics in Connecticut
