Description Suggest change

While short, the Birthday Crew Arete is high quality. Slightly grainy at the start, it cleans up fast. The route gradually gets harder until the crux arete moves just below the top.

What would be a well worn classic close to the road is doomed to obscurity. If not for its length it would be 3 of 5 stars.

Location Suggest change

The arete is located on the high far west side of the Looking Glass. If approaching via the Outward Bound Slab approach, this would be the part of The Looking Glass first reached.

Protection Suggest change

3 bolts, small nuts/cams, hand size plus for anchor. Easy descent right.
