On Steve & Elsie and Jimmy Dodges a Boulder. What ...

A little gem of a spot where you can find sun or shade all day. Developed after the publication of the latest guidebook, so likely to be quiet, even on the weekend. Nine easy to moderate single-pitch routes, from 45 to 90 feet long. When that newby is no longer enthralled by watching you fall off at Pipe Dream, you can take a short five-minute stroll to the Birthday Corridor and let him climb a bit, too.

Getting There

Start up the Right Fork trail toward the Pipe Dream. After about 20-25 minutes, the trail forks - left to Pipe Dream or right to Viewpoint. Take the right fork. In about 2-3 minutes more the trail takes a sharp right to skirt a small tree. Immediately there is an offshoot trail on the right (marked by lines of rocks currently); follow it to the Birthday Corridor. In all, it takes about 30 minutes from the trailhead.

Climb up the low-angle start into the first overhang. Move quickly on less-than-ideal edgy hands to pull over the roof onto lower-angle terrain. Easy walk to the next roof, where you'll find some comforting jugs....[more]   Browse More Classics in Utah

Nice area. You guys obviously put in a lot of work to create the excellent trail, flattened out landings, benches to sit on etc. The routes that we did seemed to be very well cleaned.

Wonderful moderate climbs...good destination as you can climb in the sun or shade depending on the temp.

Beautiful area without crowds (on a pretty busy day everywhere else)! It feels like it is still cleaning up though so watch out.

I think I left my Metolius belay glove at Birthday Corridor on Memorial Day weekend. I wouldn't mind getting it back.
