This wall sees little traffic but is worthy destination for a day of cragging with a good selection of route types and grades. The area recieves sun for most of the day and dries quickly after the rain.

Getting There

Hike the Reed Lakes trail past snowbird slab. Continue uphill through switchbacks until the trail levels out. At this point you should be able to spot two walls across the river. The lower wall is Dermatologist's Dream, and the wall up the gully to the right is Birds of Prey. Cross the river and hike up the gully until you reach the nice golden rock.

This is the route you came for. Climb featured rock past 2 bolts to intriguing corner moves. Follow the corner as it arches right around the huge upper triangular roof. Finish above the roof or top out the wall for another anchor high on a boulder....[more]   Browse More Classics in Alaska

This crag is a lot of fun! I'm surprised that I never see anyone climbing here. Easy approach, close to the trail, stellar granite. Is it 'cuz you actually need to know how to use some trad gear? Not close enough to the car? Suppose I shouldn't be hyping it up and causing lines to form......
