finishing the crux moves

Description

From the Guidebook: Up and over the V notch roof and follow the crack up, and through horizontals.

This starts just right of the depression at an obvious roof. You'll most likely see chalk on this route. Get up under the roof, pull it, head up and slightly towards the left.

Location

Just right of the depression in the center of the Basilisk wall.

Protection

Small gear is probably preferable. Bring a long static for setting up top ropes.

Lower half was interesting, upper half less fun.

Fun, sustained. Sandy over the roof. Finger size cams + medium cams + medium nuts. 5.8G

Really great climb. Begin in the crux and takes a big pull to get over the roof. Good gear placements for cams down low allowing solid protection for pulling the roof. Crux makes this climb feel pretty hard for a 5.8 until you know the moves.
