BETA PHOTO: Area outline in red.

This area spans a large area of the park from the base of the Chin almost to the Left Hip. It is one of the more concentrated ares of bouldering at sleeping giant. The rock is solid traprock with great friction. The main areas are in the talus of the Chin, on top of the chest and beyond on the ridge of the chest towards the hips. The trails are well worn and mapped out so it should be easy to find this different clusters.

Getting There

See the map. There are various ways to get to each of the areas.

Start sitting with small right handed crimp and left hand on the large sidepull. A couple powerful compression moves lead to an easier topout. Not the best landing, but great route....[more]   Browse More Classics in Connecticut
