Best Books for Climbers While Injured

I discovered today that I fractured my tailbone while bouldering so I'm projected to be out of climbing for 8-12 weeks. Does anyone have any recommendations for books specifically written by climbers regarding injury and recovery? Honestly I'm looking for some motivational literature or other good reads for injured climbers. It doesn't even have to be climbing-related, really. Just anything you would recommend...

Thanks everyone :)

Make or Break, Dave Macleod. There's lots of good information in here, but with most of his writing, it could at time use some organization.

For other general psyche, check out Revelations by Jerry Moffatt.

Quite a few years ago I was in the hospital recovering from spinal fusion done to secure a vertebra shattered in a bikin accident and wondering if I'll ever get out off the wheelchair let alone ski or bike. I came across an article in the ski magazine written by a skier who was less lucky and wound up paraplegic. He wrote that while still in the hospital he ordered one of those ski chairs so it was in his living room by the time he got home so he had something to look forward to. That really helped me to get over the self pity and start focusing on recovery and what I am going to do afterwards. So I am thinking any book that focuses on what you are going to do afterwords. I am currently on The Mountain of My Fear

There are lots of "overcoming adversity/physical difficulties in the wilds" books out there, but my all time recommendation is still "South", by Shackleton. Be sure to get an edition that includes the photos!

Not an injury recovery book specifically, but if your up for a story about overcoming very difficult circumstances on Rainier, "The Ledge" by Jim Davidson and Kevin Vaughan is a good read.

Sorry to hear of your bouldering injury Rachel.

I've also been out of commission due to a bad bouldering landing.

About books, if you're of a curious frame of mind, I'd recommend my all-time favorite book "Light and color in the open air":

It will give you the power to understand things you see outside. If not, it may at least be a pleasant diversion.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
