It depends on your level and how many days you are climbing there. There's a pretty good rundown on the Josh home page.

How about best book for Indian Cove?

I like the miramontes version but half the time I use MP more than the book. The book is for when I'm at home and want to memorize stuff or practice my reading skills.

I prefer Randy Vogels JT guidebook(s).

If anyone is seeking BOLTED (Often referred to as "Sport", but not always the case), you might want to consider waiting a little while longer for Todd Gordons Joshua Tree "Sport" climbing guidebook.

Rumor around these parts is it's going to list 1,200+ bolted routes in the park.

Latest I heard on the scheduled release date was supposedly around December of this year. (Best to check on that one as it may well no longer be the case)

"Double Cross bolted?"

It keeps getting chopped so we finally installed 1/2 inch GLUE INs.

One every three feet.

So yes, it is back to being fully bolted.

HAVE FUN!

Chopped.... your 1/2 glue ins... did not put up much of a fight.

Got something beefier?

Removed form Double Cross

Damn it FRANK!

Will you PLEASE quit chopping the DOUBLE CROSS bolts?

You're ruining it for the rest of us.

FRANK posted this photo a couple up.

Appears he also chopped the bolts we worked so hard on installing.

On my first trip there I asked the guy at Nomad Ventures the same question. He said, do you think you'll come here more than once? I said yes. He then handed my the Miramontes book. I haven't regretted the purchase.

"I thought his name was/is Guy."

Guy?

Who's Guy?

Never heard of him.

EDITED:

For the record, the Miramontes guidebook doesn't show the bolt count on Double Cross.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
