Description

The left side crag, the climbing face is clearly visible from the carpark, high up on the hill.

Best climbed in the pm, since this face comes under shade from 1pm and becomes pleasant after 2pm, even on relatively hot days.

At least six routes, each approximately 26 meters. Use 60m single rope and 12 QDs. Two bolt rings at the top unless otherwise mentioned.

As you emerge from the trail to the base of the climbs, the trail splits, you can go left o right. The climbs can accordingly be organized in two halves: the left sector and right sector of the wall.

Turn left at the end of the trail and walk for about 150 feet mildly exposed sections to access the climbs. Numbering from left-most (farthest from the trail split).
1. La Ghati: 7b (I have yet to climb it, I don't have info)
2. Avalanche: 6c
3. Rest Day 6b+

The routes on the right sector begin about 20 feet from the trail split. Counting from the nearest to farthest:

4. Ladla: 6a
5. Dirty Harry, 6a, 2p
6. Unknown: steep, new route
7. Short route: 5b, approx 10 meters, 4 bolts. Warm-up route
8. Unknown
9. Happy Easter: 6b

Getting There

As you enter the park, turn left on to the cement path, head down past the little lake, follow the road to the right, keep following the trail past a house and then a little temple, then past the Belapur bouldering area (it has 4-5 boulders that are painted; you can't miss them), continue straight up just behind the boulder field, follow the couloir/gully (water flows along this during monsoons) almost all the way up, and turn left just before the end for a faint trail leading to the crag.

Remember to get down before dark, as it is easy to miss the trail on the way back

Arguably the top climb for intermediate climbers.Bolted and climbed by Sandeep Bhagyawant in March 2017.The first bolt is scary. The fall potential is 10-20 meters and the place doesn't allow a spotter to stand well.High alpine exposure in tropical climate! Hands get sweaty for multiple reasons! The route is about 25m long, with about 10 bolts. From bolt 2-10 it is all overhanging, I didn't notice it that much while leading, but the second time I tried on ...[more]   Browse More Classics in International
