BETA PHOTO: Photo beta for "Beat To Corners." The S...

Description

Start on the left most side of the Tortuga South wall just before an obvious dirty gully break break in the wall.

Start in a low jug below a shallow, right-facing corner that slowly arches to the right. From this jug, work up and right following the arching feature until you reach a small triangle roof feature that marks the end of the arch. From here, push straight up via side pulls and slopers to gain an okay stance just above the small, triangle feature.

Finish by climbing sightly left over to the break in the wall. Once you reach the break, proceed to downclimb to safety.

This is one of my favorites on the South Wall so far! A must do!!!

Location

The Tortuga South wall is located just behind (North) of the Gilligan's Islands formation. The South Wall is just past and visible from the classic line "The Pearl." Happy hunting!!

Protection

Pads and spotters. It's best to get as many of both as you can for this wall!!

This problem felt really hard for the grade...maybe I just had bad beta. Anyways, it seems like a pretty cool, little problem. Will have to go back and see if I can make any of the moves less desperate Would be curious to know other folks' opinion of the difficulty if anyone hops on it.

It's stout. Probably harder than suggested. I'm terrible at grade suggestions, but this is a steal line line that doesn't get enough love.
