Bar Exam Boulder Rock Climbing
Piolina wonders why the people-monkeys keep going ...
This is the kind of place you climb if you've been cooped up for weeks studying for the bar exam, and you only have an hour or so and you're desperate to scramble around on something, anything. It's a filthy 15' tall boulder on the south shore of the Eno River, conveniently located for a short study break from Durham. On the up side, the creek is clean and nice for a dip after getting dirty and sweaty scrambling around on this "rock."
This boulder is on Eno River Association land. Park at the Association building just across the Guess Road bridge. It's on the south shore of the river, just east of the Bridge Boulders, right on the water. You can bushwhack eastward on the south shore, or you can hike from the Association parking lot and then wade across the river.
