Gear on the lower crux off the ground @ BallHog A3...

Description

A one pitch variation to the first pitch of forests of fanghorn. It's bolted to the right of the seam that is climbed. But the crux is sketchy nailing out the roof and pulling the lip into the finish of the first pitch of forests.

Location

left hand side of the cave, last route in the 'cave'.

Protection

Standard aid rack

This is a very good start aid for some A3 off the ground to those double bolt anchors half way up the cave section. I gave this aid climb a try years ago when I was younger but gave up on the big cam move second move off the ground. Today I woke up to some warm weather and decided to aid under roof and give BallHog another try. The moves with aliens and some lost arrows seem ok to deal with but had a hard time and placed a large bashie getting you to the first bolt , which at this point is about 30 feet off the ground all on not so good aid placements. The BallHog is very overhanging and make your arms hurt .
