An array of large, beautiful boulders located right off of the windy ridge that is Bald Hill.

UPDATE: After much exploring of this area, a huge amount of rock has been discovered. A few devoted individuals have gone establishing a mess of problems. There are anything from easy slab problems to powerful, thin, HARD overhanging crimp problems. HOWEVER, this area is currently spotty with private vs. public land ownership. The Morris County Parks Commission is in the process of buying the land so the climbing here will soon be encouraged. An update will be posted when the area is 100% open to the public. Parking, trails, and areas will be posted at that point.

Getting There

The boulders are located right off the west-facing side of the ridge. They are all within a few hundred yards of the road, so there is no need to venture deep into the woods to find them. Take Hillcrest Dr. to its end, and park in the spot located off the turn-around. You can then either walk directly into the woods from there, hiking parallel to the road until you hit the rocks (rougher terrain), or you can walk the road back up the hill, then descend until you reach a driveway on the right with an old abandoned garage. The latter is a much easier approach once you're in the woods, but it is a pain to re-walk the road.
