  • Description

Baditude climbs the face and overhang between Kelp Bed Freak Show and Howl of a Hungry Cat. The interesting bit comes at the overhang where humongous, interlocking blades of granite form an athletic jug ladder. They *feel* solid, but the consequences of collapse would be disastrous. The moves are fun, the bolts are good, but you've got to wonder about the stone. For mature audiences - venture at your own risk.

    Protection

Bolts to a two Goldshut anchor.

After Leitner & I were done establishing routes, Richard Wright & Alan Nelson established two more lines.
I have climbed this route twice, & that's enough. First, the moves to the 2nd bolt aren't nicely protected. What's far worse is climbing on the large, scary, expanding flake up the overhanging section. I don't trust it will always be there.
