Description 

Lots of scattered bouldering. Lots of easy to moderate problems.

Getting There 

Take a trail from the parking lot around the west side of the mountain.

Climbing Season

For the Quartz Mountain area.

"W" Boulder V3 6A  OK : Quartz Mountain : Backside Boulders
Not completely certain of the problem's name, but the boulder is covered in yellow lichen and on the bottom right corner it almost looks like an etched "W" in the lichen. (See photo) Starts just left of the "W". Pull up moves to a dish in which you mantle off of (crux). Move slightly right to thin moves up top. This is a really fun area to head with a pad and a days worth of snacks and water. Keep your eyes open on the trail as you follow around the base of Baldy- there are some fun, slabby climbs you can warm up on, and a few low-angle slabs to introduce new climbers
