For a 4 move boulder problem, this one is really great! At the base of the steep roof is a long, flat jug ledge. Match here and heel hook. The only detracting quality from this line is that the base block is on, but this avoids the first move being awkward and bunched (forced). Match start and heel hook. Push off the base block and reach for the amazing, smooth, flat jug pocket and match. The base block is considered off from this point.Pull through to the rounded crimp rail overhead and match. Is there going to be any info posted in the near future about the back of beyond area or the larger area of Haw Orchard? Ie. Trailhead location, or best way to access? I know work was done this spring on a trail to B.O.B. (Unfortunately I couldn't make the stewardship weekend) and I'm just curious about checking out these boulders! Thanks in advance for any info!!

Torbjorn,
As of right now no. The rough trail is built into the BoB, but blazed sign posts are not in place and this will be worked on in the coming fall season. The positioning of the blazed posts will be discussed and reviewed with the GHSP park staff, much like the posts for the Moonlight Area, to best meet the needs for both the park and climbers alike. To avoid confusion and frustration I will not try to describe the approach to specific boulders until that time. I am also starting to compile Vol.2 of the GHSP Bouldering guidebook, of which the BoB and other areas in Haw will be detailed. I will happily do my best to direct you or anyone else to the BoB in a personal email however; I just won’t be posting it publicly until the fall when navigation is more straightforward. Shoot me an email anytime.
