Knapp on Awsome Arete.

Amazing route like none other in Wisconsin. Moves straight up the arete, utilizes a bunch of heals to stop the barndoor, and lots of pinches and slaps up the arete. The crux comes up high with some thin vertical seams.

Located up and left of the mixed climb starts right on the obvious arete.

6 bolts, webbing and rap ring anchors.

This thing was a little heady with all the moss and sand, but if it get's some traffic I could see it being good.

Dobbe I should have warned you that it needs a good brushing. In the past the first guy up brings a big brush and cleans on the way up and down. Then it really is an awesome route...

No need for much brushing today. Bit easier than 11d probably 11b. I thought the hard part was getting to the clipping stance for the second bolt.

Flake jug is ready to pull! Please be gentle.

Slings on the anchor are unusable at this point. Next time I'm back I'll install chains.

I added chains to the anchors for this yesterday. I have an additional chain I will pit on the 12 to the left next time I'm there.
