RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. MORE INFO >>>

Shady all day, great for hot summer days. Beautiful white sandstone, soft on the hands and fun for sport climbs!

Getting There

Walk 200 yards NW from parking lot on main trail, past white boulder in the main wash. Turn left onto Turtlehead trail. About 200 yards later, turn right towards white rocks. Walk past the Twinkie, then turn right off trail toward smooth brown wave of rock. 100 yards up canyon on the right is the Avian Wall. The Trophy is up the slabs to the opposing side of the canyon.

Fun but too short due to the current start on top of a giant white boulder that rolled down from the Trophy's side. Start 15' left of Spotted Eagle and 8' right of an oak tree. Good warmup....[more]   Browse More Classics in Nevada
