Located directly across the river and uphill from Mother’s Day Wall.

Getting There

Park as for Mother’s Day Wall and hike about 50 meters upstream from Mother’s Day Wall to find the shallowest river crossing— cross where there is a flat marshy area on both sides of the river. From here, head straight uphill to connect to a well-worn game trail that leads up and left. Follow the trail’s switchbacks-- the animals know the easiest way up the hill. When the game trail turns away from the wall about 20 meters from the base, cut straight uphill to the base of the tower. Approach Time: 10-15 min.

Climbing Season

For the Northeast Oregon area.

Halfway up, a ledge will bring you around to the right side of the arête, where the climbing continues. Above the 7th bolt, a short section of handcrack can be protected with a #2 or #3 Camalot. Rap the route with one 60 meter rope....[more]   Browse More Classics in Oregon
