have climbed aruba for the past two years. Its great climbing, some easy vertical routes on the left side and some steep routes through the overhang. I don't know how great the bolts are being that its so close to the ocean but i have used them and most of them look solid. you can toprope most climbs here with a long cordelette or a small bit of static rope. I hear the climbs were established using a car on top the cliff for a toprope anchor. Feel free to PM me for more information. Ill be down there July 25- august 8th this year, if you plan to be there get in touch lets climb.

In Aruba this week with my son who is 15 and a climber.. Been climbing for about 4 years now.. Do you know of anyone in Aruba that could act act as a guide or where we could purchase or rent a rope as he could try the easier climbs on his own.. He brought his harness and shoes
Thank you

Hello Victoria,

Next website is the topo with the grape field, rock climbing area of Aruba.

There are not many people climbing here. And it is advisable to set up a toprope here, rather than lead climb. A 40m rope should be sufficient. Be aware of sharp edges!

Hello, fellow climbers!

The weather here is steady and the people are friendly. Most people drive past Grapefield Crag, on the way to another area. If you are planning on climbing here, be sure to bring all of your own equipment and at least one partner. It has been impossible for me to find any tour or guide in the island to go do this on my own.
