Description

This section of Monte Sano is accessed from the South Monte Sano Trailhead. It connects to several trails and has free, but limited parking.

Arrowhead Trail cuts through a 20-30 foot high rock passageway, primarily Limestone with sharp flakes and plentiful horizontal ledges and cracks.

While adventurous people are sure to have scrambled these rocks in the past, no documentation for them exists. If FA or route name info becomes known, please message the page author to correct them.

Getting There

Only 10 minutes East from Huntsville. Take Governors Drive East, turn left and drive North on Monte Sano Blvd a short ways until you come across the Monte Sano South Parking trailhead on the right.

The approach to the actual climbable rock is about a 15-20 minute walk, easy but sustained hiking.
