I'm flying into Phoenix this weekend for a wedding, and have most of Saturday April 16 free (from late morning through the evening) while my girlfriend is busy doing whatever bridesmaids do before a wedding.

Where would you recommend spending the day climbing? I'm down for bouldering, sport, trad, or if all else fails even the local gym. Happy to try anything, but I will most likely have limited access to non-public forms of transportation.

On a highly related note, is anyone looking for a partner for the weekend? Happy to lead anything up to 5.10 sport or 5.9 trad, but I also love the easy stuff if the rock is good. I can bring a rack and rope if needed.

Lex I am new to the area looking to climb more. I give a good catch, would like to lead someday. Down to climb on Saturday afternoon Been wanting to check out toms thumb area by Scottsdale. I have been climbing in a gym lately due to lack of partners as I jam new here but just got back from smith rock on Sunday. Not leading yet, follow most anything up to 5.10+ a little slow on cleaning the route but want practice. Message me. Lj Blackburn
