  • Description

This obscure Flatiron is located about 200 yards south of the Royal Arch. This Flatiron is a satellite to the Amoeboid Flatiron. The east face is 200 feet long and provides an easy scramble if you are in the area. The face does have some moss and lichen, but the majority of it can be avoided. The summit is in hiking territory and abuts to the north side of the Amoeboid.

    Getting There

Pass the Royal Arch on the west side and follow a faint trail due south. You will run into the Anomaly. A short scramble down a gully will put you at the base.

    Southwest Traverse V0 4  Colorado : Flatirons : ... : Anomaly
While you are in the area, traverse the southwest wall of Anomaly from lower right to upper left. The traverse is about 60 feet. You are never more than 10 feet off the ground. This has nice rock texture, and the variation in hand and footholds is fantastic....[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado
