Nds on the opening moves of Angus

Remember to fill out a wilderness permit, even if climbing for the day! MORE INFO >>>

Description

Start almost laying down at a slopey seam. The low shelf is off for feet. Make a couple of hard moves into easier climbing above. Going left to the jug edge appears to be somewhat easier than going more straight up.

Location

Uphill (north west) side of the Angus boulder, right of Angus, left of Malcolm.

Protection

A pad or two.

It's odd that people don't want to use the left edge. It's the obvious line up. Besides the hard moves are the first few before the throw. Super fun, try not to dab.

I agree that avoiding the edge out left sure seems like an eliminate. But I found the holding the throw to that edge to be the crux, so skipping it would definitely be harder for me. Video:
