American (Fallen) Gypsy

Current San Diego County Advisories MORE INFO >>>

This is a very hard thin lieback/friction route in a shallow dihedral of sorts.

From the Painted Boulders, take a very worn trail towards the biggest formation due south. The boulder has a large cap boulder on it.

FA by Greg Epperson. The name of the route is "AMERICAN GYPSY". Fallen Gypsy is a travesty. Someone broke a hold and thought that allowed them to rename it. The name Fallen Gypsy should be deleted from the record

Good call Ron. The name should never have been changed in the first place.
