Description

This is another welcomed addition to the left side of the NW Territories. Air Barrier is three bolt lines left of the classic B-B-Buttress. Shine On and Times Like These are to the left of this route. The climb starts with some easier climbing up over a bulge to lead into to a thoughtful crux up a small corner.

There are no quick clips at the top so be prepared at the chains. Also, if rappelling, be mindful of where you toss your rope as I accidentally threw mine right into the small gully underneath the corner on my first attempt.

Location

Left side of The Northwest Terrritories.

Protection

6-ish bolts to chains

My crew enjoyed this route today. Everything was damp but it was very climbable. We stuck right at the start. I found the corner midway up to be enjoyable. Also, the rock before the anchor was fun and reminded me of the rock above Peanut Man / Thin Man. This route was interesting in a similar way that Glory Jeans is interesting. It was a muddy belay stance for us but the route is a welcomed addition for sure - thanks!

8 bolts I believe.
1 more than the route directly to the right, The Beastie.
