Adopt-A-Crag: West Rock State Park, CT (April 6th @ 9am)

Join the Ragged Mountain Foundation and the Access Fund for a community crag clean up at West Rock Ridge State Park.

Many have read the recent article in Rock & Ice Magazine featuring climbing at West Rock. Unfortunately the crag is riddled with trash, graffiti and storm debris. Most of our efforts will focus on the south buttress crag and trails.

The RMF and Access Fund have secured permission from the State of Connecticut DEEP to host a volunteer community cleanup. We hope you’ll join us!

What to Bring

Weather appropriate work clothing, climbing helmet, water, high energy snacks, work gloves and personal items. RMF will provide tools, garbage bags, etc.

Where to Meet

We’ll meet at 9am in the parking lot near the West Rock ballpark on Valley Street, just one block north of Blake Street.
