A major climbing venue on various tiers. A good mix of sport and trad, sometimes coexisting on the same crag.

All of the crags on Acid rock are covered by the Summer Season access agreement. See the main Cheddar Gorge page for more details.

Getting There

From Cheddar village, park in the first car park on the right after the bus pullout (and before the high rock car park). From here, take a small path on the right (South) side of the gorge, up past Sloworm tower. This leads to all areas.

A justifiably popular route up the steep groove in the middle of the left half of the crag. Well-bolted, good moves, and classic Cheddar views!Start by scrambling up blocks to the first bolt. The crux sequence follows: sustained moves on sidepulls and small crimps past the next three bolts to a jug, bolt 5 and an easier romp to the top....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
