If you are tall, using this hold makes the move to the good flake straight forward. I am guessing the difficulty of the entry moves are height dependent. If you are under 6ft, this sequence will probably only screw you up.

Doing it without this crimp is like a v3 boulder problem...tried it 5 times before someone told me about the crimp. I am 5'10 and it was real "casual" to get over to the flake as my buddy suggested.

I am 5'8 and using this hold *almost* afforded me a clipping stance. I don't remember if I used it to move forward or now.
